Our Story
Our family loves animals! We used to live in Texas with a house that had a really tiny yard. All of our friends had animals of some sort; a dog, a cat, or a hamster. One day we got a dog, but that wasn't enough, so we got a cat too. Then another cat, but that wasn't enough either. Lots of other people had chickens, goats or mini ponies, so one day our mom came home with a box of chicks from Tractor Supply. We made a coop for them and a little yard. Then one day we got a letter from the HOA. Our neighbor hood used to be a giant farm with all kinds of animals. When they built the neighbor hood on top of the farm, they decided to keep the peacocks in the neighbor hood. So, there were about thirty peacocks roaming around the streets. Every morning they would caw louder than a rooster. People put food out on the streets for them every morning, and the peacocks jumped onto peoples roofs. The HOA letter said that someone complained about our chickens, when there were peacocks cawing at two in the morning! We didn't even have a rooster! So, we sold our chickens and moved to Alabama, bought a farm with five acres, and bought fifty chickens, two pigs, one horse, and two ponies! We love baby animals, especially chickens, so we wanted to start hatching our own chickens. Then it turned into Redeemer Ranch Chick Hatchery!
About Our Flock
Our chickens are very happy and healthy! They are free range and have over one thousand square feet per chicken, but they like to stick together! 😄 Our chickens lay colorful eggs ranging from blue, green, light and dark brown. We have lots of beautiful hens that are great layers and two handsome roosters!
Want Some Chickens?
We hatch about 25- 30 chicks every batch. Our next hatch date is coming soon. Feel free to reserve your chicks by calling 865-776-6659, or by emailing redeemerranch@gmail.com . First come, first serve! For now they are all strait run, but we might be able to separate some females. No promises! 😃 We are selling the chicks at $3.00 per chick, and have local pick-up only.
